Born in Lima, OH, native to Columbus since the 3rd grade, and an alum of Worthington Christian School. Megan carries a certificate in Surgical Technology.
In addition to her dedication to her children, Megan finds fulfillment in volunteering at their school whenever possible. It is a hobby that allows her to not only spend quality time with her children but also contribute to the enrichment of other students. Growing up as the granddaughter of a reverend who played a significant role in establishing the Grace Brethren church, Megan was instilled with the values of hospitality and caring. She was raised with the practice of always setting an extra plate at the table, ready to welcome anyone who may enter their home. This upbringing has deeply influenced the giving culture that permeates every aspect of her home care agency Always At Your Side.
Megan’s grandmother moved in with their family when Megan was just two years old. Witnessing her mother, Joyce, who dedicated over 20 years to serving Ohio Health and another 20 years to The Ohio State University as a nurse, and her father, Tim, a retired criminal investigations officer for the IRS with visual impairment, struggle to provide care for Megan‘s grandmother, she learned valuable lessons. Over time she fell ill with Dementia, and this is when Megan began to understand the complexities and challenges of caregiving firsthand.
Megan also helped care for her other grandparents along with her family, taking turns being with them 24/7 for 6 years. Both grandparents were able to pass peacefully at home surrounded by their family. Megan’s grandfather lived to be 100 years old before passing.
Megan has a passion for travel and enjoys basking in warm weather wherever she goes. She is currently transitioning her children from teenagers with a couple of years of high school remaining and also a couple at the beginning stage of college and becoming young adults.
